The Greatest Showcase is an event organised by The University of Chester's Media Department to exhibit work produced by the universities media students from first years through to master students. The very best work from the year is taken and put on display for other members of the university and the public to view. Work is taken from all areas of media including photography, journalism, advertising and many more.
ON THE NIGHT
LIVE TV SHOW & LIVE STREAM
On the night of the showcase the TV team will be attempting to put on an amazing show for everyone to remember. During the show we will have Markus up in the booth directing the show and attempting to employ his vision to everyone. Josh will be the Vision Mixer, attempting to make that vision come true by editing the show in real time. Alex will be our producer. She will be making sure the show runs smoothly and is entertaining for everyone as well as communicating with the director as the show runs live. Alex will also be making sure that the show keeps as close to schedule as possible. Robbie will be the main man on sound. He will be ensuring that all the sound levels are good and that everyone watching via live stream or the audience will be receiving beautiful and crisp audio. And finally, Georgia from the exhibition team has been stolen for the night to be the Floor manager. She will be making sure that everyone on the floor (cameras, presenters, runners and assistant sound) are all doing their jobs well and are ready for when the show starts, she will also be letting the audience know how the show is going to go and finally she will be making sure that the presenters know how long they have left during each interview.

EXHIBITION
On the night of the showcase this group will be making sure that everyone who is visiting the exhibition is taken care of. They will be available to answer any questions about the artwork that is being showcased. Each team member will be positioned in a separate exhibition space and will be situated within their field of expertise. Robbie will be in the photography and advertising room, Georgia will be in the moving image room, as well as being the floor manager for the live TV show, Dan will be in the radio and music production room, and lastly Oscar will be in the journalism room. As visitors first enter they will be greeted by the exhibition team and they will have the opportunity to use the photo booth and enjoy refreshments.
RADIO & CAT WEBSITE
On the evening of The Greatest Showcase, Yasmin and Max from the radio team will be presenting and producing an outside broadcast, live in the North West Media Centre from 6pm until 8pm in the Exhibition Space. Max will be interviewing other team members leading up to the live show between 6pm and 7pm and Yasmin will be in the studio with Lauren running the desk, ensuring the technical elements of the outside broadcast run smoothly. For the second hour, Max and Yasmin will be swapping roles.

PHOTOGRAPHY & BLOG
Abbey and Lucy will be capturing people arriving in the foyer of the North West Media Centre, the live tv show and the outside radio broadcast as well as the rest of the teams working together to make the night a success. The blogs’ last post will be on this day, following the updates.
PROMOTION & ADVERTISING
As the advertising team have been working behind the scenes leading up to the showcase, creating the logo, a series of posters, the brochure and this website, on the night, they will be handing out brochures and during the live TV show Grace, Trey and Aimee will be part of the TV crew as runners and cable managers and Kennedy will be on Camera two.
